I'm reviewing this place for only breakfast. They have absolutely amazing coffee and Ben( I think) is one of the best baristas I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He makes great coffee. They also have delicious pastries and if they are in stock, the breakfast burritos are amazing too
(5)Suzie H.
Charming café with comfortable seating (which some other bistros in CB don't offer), delicious breads, great coffee drinks, clean bathrooms, and super friendly service. Great co-op concept, too..... we'd love to try the farm to table dinner, next time!
(5)Mushtak K.
Had lunch with the family. Had the turkey Panini and it was excellent. Waffle fries are very tasty and would recommend them. Tuna sandwich had rave reviews from my wife.
(5)Jen W.
BF and I were there after the July 4 parade - every restaurant was packed and I don't think most of these places deal with crowds of that size on a regular basis. So we figured we would have to wait, and wait we did -- out on the back patio. At least it was a super nice day outside, and eventually we were able to snag a table with an umbrella for some shade. It took ~30 minutes for our sandwiches to come out. I got the turkey & bacon with waffle fries, and the BF got the italian grinder with sweet potato fries. Yes, the sandwiches are kind of expensive, but they were HUGE and really good.
(4)Leighton L.
This place has delicious sandwiches and soups. I like how they offer vegan and gluten free options. I wish they had more fresh juice options and things for vegans. Otherwise very good.
(5)Alexander B.
Strawberry salad w/ half turkey bacon sandwich. Hmmm!
(4)Lynette K.
Hippie Haven...... Need I say more, really? If you have been to CB, then you know there are a ton of restaurants to choose from, delis, cafes, Mexican, sushi, pizza and Sunflower. The exterior is nice and clean. The staff was cool and friendly. I went with my twin and niece, we are all veggies. It is a great balance of veggie and non veggie food. My niece had a delicious smoothie. My twin and I had a sandwich called the Hippie Haven! Wow, all of my favorite things on one sandwich, it included the following; sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, banana peppers, sprouts, dill Havarti, tapanede, truffle oil (yes, truffle oil). Oh crap, I think I am forgetting something. But it was so good. I had the crispiest sweet potato fries as side. Soo good!
(4)BethAnn H.
Gluten Free bread available and cross contamination protocols in place! Loved my sandwich!
(5)Ashley S.
This was an EXCELLENT lunch spot. We loved the ambiance and the food selection. The sandwiches are huge, the sweet potatoes fries were amazing and the regular chips were homemade and delicious. There's patio seating available in a beautiful garden area. They were also very friendly and eager to serve!
(5)Ted C.
It doesn't really look like a Jewish Deli but the pastrami I got was just as good as Langer's in LA, albeit not traditional. Instead of crusted old guys behind the counter there were cute girls and hippy guys. Apparently 80 year old guys from LA and 18 year old cuties from Crested Butte make the best Pastrami Sanni's. The wait was longer than at your deli down the street but the product is better and so pull up a chair on the back patio, have a ginger beer from Durango and try to get a contact high off your fellow patrons cloths. Do not miss this place. It's totally amazing duuudddeee.....
(5)Terry O.
This place is incredible. They've finally opened for dinner and boy was it amazing. The staff was incredibly informative, fun and pleasant. The food was outstanding. Each dish had a lot of love put into it. We'll definitely come back.
(5)Jamie W.
Surprisingly, it has been way too long since I had been to The Sunflower deli. I'm glad I went back for lunch recently. It's only gotten better. The Pastrami Rueben was fabulous -- perfectly sliced pastrami piled high. And, those addictive fries -- maybe I should stay way:)
(5)Craig A.
The Sunflower becomes a different restaurant for dinner. It is the best food in Crested Butte! For several reasons, they care greatly where and how the ingredients are sourced and this shows in the dish quality. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The flavor profiles and dishes are spot on. I can't eat here enough! The decor is very warm and inviting, the chef rocks and the owners are welcoming, knowledgeable, and fantastic! If you come to Crested Butte and don't eat here your missing out!
(5)T V.
We went to Sunflower at night after enjoying it for lunch at noon. We had a fabulous meal but it was practically ruined by the HORRIBLE, LOUD MUSIC. We even had my teenage kids with us and they couldn't even hear us across the table. We were having a beautiful bottle of wine and amazing appetizers but could hardly enjoy it because of the head-banger music. As second homeowners in Crested Butte, we would love to bring guests here as it is the best dinner in CB but will hesitate because of the music. Sunflower, PLEASE change your playlist and turn DOWN the music to match your great menu.
(3)Beans B.
Damn good panini! Portions are generous enough that when my mom and I split one we both left satisfied. Good indy sodas and great pickles. Very nice staff and comfortable outside deck. Highly recommend.
(5)Nancy O.
Waited in line 15 minutes to place an order. I ordered the special sandwich of the day. Even discussed it with the young man who took my order. Roast beef, roasted red peppers, etc. After waiting 25 more minutes for the sandwich to be brought to our table, it was a pastrami and turkey sandwich. They said they would make me another but we didn't have the rest of the afternoon to wait for it. To their credit, they refunded my money. My friend's fig Panini was excellent, she said. But waiting 40 minutes at a deli for a sandwich??
(2)Elizabeth C.
Incredible coffee - any of you know boxcar coffee- it's almost as good. Will absolutely go back!
(5)Shannon L.
Eh... It was ok. Coffee menu was on the ceiling behind an ibeam. I didn't see it so I didn't order coffee. Food was decent though being that this was the only place in town that didn't have a long wait.
(3)Chip R.
Our most fun night in crested butte. Get a table outside in the back...we'll worth it. The wait staff was so much fun, the drinks great, the food plentiful and varied. Great for a group.
(4)Morgan F.
Sunflower was just ok. I stopped in for breakfast. I needed something quick before hitting the trails for the day. All they had was pastries and breakfast burritos. I got a burrito and a coffee. Didn't really like my coffee, burrito was ok. Quick, yes, but otherwise uninspiring. Hopefully their other meals are better.
(3)Emily V.
Husband and I had a delicious lunch here. We had the special which was pulled pork with bacon, Caramelized onions, figs, and cheese, served hot. It may have been the best sandwich I've ever eaten. We also had what was called a strawberry salad but has blueberries on it, instead. The back patio was lovely. We picked up some baked goods for breakfast and the were also delicious.
(4)Bebbia J.
Enjoyed dinner in third week of July. Food is tasty and inventive, but portions are small, so don't under-order the number of plates shared among you. The octopus plate was my favorite. Ambience is warm and inviting, although sound level a bit high. As I write, I couldn't get the web site to load, never good.
(4)Stella S.
Fantastic sandwiches (ham and fig was awesome) exceptional waffle fries, super chill atmosphere, and great sunny/shady back patio. Love this place.
(5)Lindsay B.
Great lunch spot! The Panini's were to die for everything including the bread was so nice and fresh. The coffee menu is extensive and would make even a Starbucks Aficionado go huh? But the Barista was so nice answering questions. Definitely a euro feel where you come to hang and settle in for good food and good conversation. Loved it!
(5)K H.
I've only been here for lunch (as dinner is totally different) and the sandwiches here were very good. I'm giving them 3 stars due to the price. The price was a little high for a sandwich at $11 for just a sandwich and chips.
(3)Betsy A.
Seriously, I will never be able to eat another BLT again. It will never compare. I honestly don't know what that other person was talking about because the service was primo and all the staff was very welcoming, and didn't mind explaining in depth about multiple different sandwiches.
(5)Barrio L.
Would like to give this very cute cafe another chance, but our first visit was not a huge wow. Great location and inviting atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Though the menu was very small for breakfast, it sounded good with lots of locally sourced ingredients. We both ordered the egg casserole with salad. Maybe on a good day that would be a good choice, but we both got corner pieces that were overcooked and very dry and that was with them not even being reheated all the way through so there were cold spots. Also, they had just ran out of salad and so we each only got three bites. Great greens and dressing, but measly portion. For $8 ish dollars a plate, not enough food. My advice to all restaurants everywhere is that if you run out of something, ask if you can replace it with another item you do have or comp the customer. Serving less or leaving it off while charging the same price is not good service. Also, don't ever serve the dried out corners of anything. Feed it to your staff. Giving that they are so invested in the community and local farmers, I would not avoid this place just because of my review, but if you do notice something off let them know. This is the kind of spot that could be really fantastic and probably just needs to tighten quality control. Hope to leave them a 5 star review on our next visit.
(3)Sandilynn K.
I wanted to give this place 3 stars, but just can't because my hippie veggie sandwich really was a home run. The confused, space cadet service left a lot to be desired. Though, I should cut them some slack, both the guy making sandwiches and cashier were new. The girl did make up for it by giving us a chocolate chip cookie, and she was overwhelmed. One complaint I have is both our sandwiches had "caramelized" onions on them. They were thick, undercooked, brownish onions. Either caramelize them, or don't. But don't leave those poor onions left in limbo. Tasty, nonetheless.
(4)Christopher S.
Hell yes. After a crappy experience at the Secret Stash (see my review on that one), I was super stoked to find The Sunflower. *Seriously great* sandwiches and waffle fries prepared by really friendly employees. Plus they have a self-serve soda machine and good wi-fi interwebs. Bonus: probably the best deli pickle you've ever eaten. I echo the previous reviewer: it's amazing how these 18 year-old mountain town cuties are making sandwiches like 80 year-old LA jews!
(5)Kathy P.
This place is awesome! We were there the night they reopened and had a sampling of everything on the menu. Chris and Natalie were so helpful and know the menu intimately. Chris is knowledgable of wine pairings and we're so fun to talk to. Loved everything about the experience.
(5)J S.
Don't bother. Horrible service. People were walking out because their was no acknowledgement by the staff. Not welcoming at all.
(1)James N.
This place is great! A new favorite in CB. Fast, friendly, delicious!! The menu is great, with lots of really creative offerings, and best of all, the service is AWESOME. Much faster and more professional (and fun) than anywhere else we've been in CB.
(5)Kait W.
My boyfriend and I happened upon this cute deli while in Crested Butte this past weekend and had two wonderful sandwiches, and a cup of chili, all for a reasonable price in a ski town. The atmosphere was great, and the guy who either owned the place or took pride in working there was really great too. We came back for lunch the next day even though there were plenty of other options for food in town. Another great meal! We'll be back!
(4)Andrea S.
I loved my sandwich here. I love Crested Butte. The atmosphere was nice. They try to use fresh local, homemade ingredients. Their patio is really nice to sit out and eat. They have interesting choices like ham and fig sandwich. They offer 1/2 sandwiches with your choice of soup or salad. I opted for the fresh strawberry and feta salad which was delicious! I would definitely go here again when we're in town next summer.
(5)John L.
My wife and I bought sandwiches and drinks to go for a summer picnic near Gothic, but we would have been happy staying for lunch in this brightly colored restaurant or on the patio. Excellent selection of sandwiches, including lots of veggie options. jAnd the staff is very friendly. We were so happy that we almost ended up there a couple of days later.
(4)Kaliko Y.
Love this place. I have visited in summer and winter. The sandwiches are wonderful. I had the daily soup special last week, chicken noodle. It was full of tender chicken, nicely cooked noodles ( not mushy), vegetables and well seasoned broth. A perfect combination after hiking in the snow. Fresh baked bread, friendly service. You must visit, no matter what time of year.
(5)Josh S.
I wouldn't mind if the sandwiches were a buck cheaper, but otherwise they're top-notch. Each has at least five ingredients -- some quite piquant, like horseradish mayo and blue cheese on the roast beef -- and they're imaginative combinations without being too out there. Even though it's just white French bread, it's soft and tasty. The ambiance is neither here nor there, but it's comfortable and handsome, with leather banquettes and a high ceiling.
(4)Chip G.
Great sandwiches at The Sunflower. We've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. True, the service can be slow if there is anything even resembling a crowd, but we've never waited so long that we felt forgotten. This is one of our go-to lunch spots in Crested Butte.
(5)Jonathan B.
It had been years since I visited Paradise. In this new spot, I didn't think much about it but I was encouraged to try the brunch. I'm glad I did. Their brunch on Sunday is really good. They offer really good Bloody Marys with some bloody good bacon if you want it. Everything I sampled was darn nice. My recommendation is that you get there early. There isn't a lot of seating, but there is a lot of interest. Expect a wait if you don't get out of bed before 11:00.
(4)Louis L.
Incredible service and a very nice atmosphere. The server was very nice and the food was good. The only problem I had with this cafe was that it was so expensive! By the time I finished my biscuits and gravy the check was $50! But them were some good biscuits!
(4)Anne C.
I really loved this place. A true crested butte gem. The feel is homey and comfortable, and the servers are super friendly. I've actually recreated the Benedict that I ate there at home... You know what they say--imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. A delightful Benedict with a lemony hollandaise and wilted arugula--fantastic! The husband had the biscuits and gravy, and was blown away. I can't believe it was vegetarian. It was so chock full of herbs and flavor that you'd never know the difference. Please stop by if you're in town. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Douglas D.
Just awesome. Great food, reasonably priced good wine, high energy and happy atmosphere. Who needs verbs?
(5)Morgan Y.
This place was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel at which we stayed. She raved about it and I must say, I agree. The locally sourced (hard to do in CB) farm to table concept will result in a constant change in the menu. Portions on our meal were small but very tasty. The co-owner of the restaurant served us and did a wonderful job walking us through the wines to pair with our likely choices for meal. After our dinner we were invited to hang out with the two owners and their friends and the wine kept flowing in the most generous fashion. Truly a wonderful experience.
(5)Bo D.
Great food. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Service was good. Coffee was excellent. Would go here again!
(4)Alex L.
We ate breakfast there this morning. We were there on the earlier side before everyone comes into town for the day. The food was good, coffee strong and the orange juice tastes fresh squeezed. Took off a star because our waitress was rude when we did see her... Since the cook that made our food brought it to us, and followed up twice(she was nice).
(3)Liz R.
Sat at the bar for dinner. Ian (the bearded one) and the rest of the staff made our dining experience extremely fun! The wine was GREAT the food was STELLAR! All farm-to-table recipes created daily based on what they get in that day. Be sure to call ahead in the winter for a reservation because space is limited - so worth the wait and the money. The restaurant that CB needed to bridge the gap between Soupçon and Ryce.
(5)John K.
Supper @ Sunflower is the best. We love the farm to table food prepared by Kalon and the spirit of the restaurant, which starts with the enthusiasm of Natalie and Chris. Our favorite restaurant in Crested Butte. Lunch is also good , but run by different people.
(5)Joel S.
What a great concept. Super friendly service, great coffee and sandwiches. I had the half and half with Reuben and Mac & cheese and it was great. The place is a co-op of basically three businesses sharing the space. A coffee house, a deli and an organic dinner Location. It's a great concept that must be working. At noon on a Wednesday its steadily busy. A nice place for a wifi stop in Crested Butte.
(4)Natalie P.
great food and drinks! Sometimes the check out girls can get distracted talking to each other
(4)Christine W.
Best breakfast in CB. The Benny and burrito rock, fresh cookies are delish, spinach/feta croissants good for a snack on your afternoon bike ride. Even the coffee was good. Enjoy!
(5)Carrie S.
Great friendly service! I highly recommend the chai. Had the soup and sandwich combo (roasted red pepper soup and ham & Swiss sandwich) - it was great!
(5)April K.
During the morning they have the best coffee in CB. The service is not slow, but it's also not prepared in advanced. Good things take time. Take a seat, hang out and relax. Sunflower also has the best dinner in town. Farm to table style dinner , so the menu is changing daily. Make a reservation and try as many items as possible. Delightful.
(5)Melissa H.
Wow. (Dinner) The beet salad. Beef rib steak. Food is beyond delicious; inventive and resourceful. The staff exudes positivity, no pressuring you into anything. My only wish is that they had a full bar, but their wine selection is quite good. I'll be back--as soon as I can get a reservation!
(5)Lucy W.
We had one of our most memorable dinners of the year this past weekend at The Sunflower. From the fabulous service and the great energy from the kitchen, to the desserts that we could barely fit into our full bellies but kept shoveling in anyway, down to the perfectly paired wines and the live acoustic music, this was an incredible evening, top to bottom. Chris kindly guided our selections, explaining how that evening's menu directly resulted from what was at the market that afternoon. Starting with the heirloom tomato salad drizzled with a gorgeous cheese and beautifully refined balsamic vinegar, and the uber-flavorful purple long beans, we knew we were in the deft hands of seriously talented chefs. This is kitchen magic, people. We then shared locally foraged chantrelles over polenta (sprinkled with kernels of sweetest corn I've ever tasted) and the meatballs with risotto. Flavor bomb! These dishes were both extraordinary. And the red wines that Chris recommended worked perfectly with each. Feeling full but very happy we decided to "just look at" the dessert menu. As soon as Chris announced that the "dimpled" flan had received the seal of approval from a Madrileno, I was sold. U-t-t-e-r-l-y delicious. Todd was torn between the apple tart and marscarpone ice cream with fresh raspberries--so Chris brought both! Oh my. Paired with a gorgeous moscatel that Chris surprised us with (um, and a Sauternes and a Tokaji), it was the PERFECT end to an incredible meal. My only recommendation would be that this establishment have a working website that explains the difference between the co-op lunch and dinner split. The current site doesn't work, and the only mention I can find online for this place only discusses the lunch service. We didn't make it to that, but the dinner definitely deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. We wish we lived closer so we could frequent this truly excellent restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go to The Sunflower. Often.
(5)David R.
Had a wonderful lunch here staff was exceptional. Every entree our table had was great will be back for lunch or dinner again
(5)Tom W.
What an outstanding dinner we had at Sunflower. The staff was very friendly and helpful but it was the food that really stole the show. We started with olives and the best almonds I've ever had. The waiter paired these with a really nice cheese. The star of the evening was the homemade pasta and ragu. Apparently they have a pasta course on the menu every evening and I would highly recommend it!
(5)Kitty K.
Everything was fresh and tasty. Farm to table done really well. Great wine selection. Very spendy. Better bring your credit card.
(5)Delaney K.
Perfectly poached eggs atop brilliant biscuits and covered in a genius gravy. So good, you'll have more a WTF?! than an mmm mmm good....
(5)Melissa N.
Just save yourself an hour of your precious time and mental frustration and DONT DO IT!! The coffee was just as burned out as most of the people working in the store. We ordered 4 burritos which took over 40 min to get. The burrito was hands down the WORST breakfast burrito I've ever had the displeasure of eating. We took 3 bites and tossed it. Do yourself a favor and walk down to Camp 4 Coffee.
(1)Jessica T.
This review would have been higher had two things been different: 1. They literally cannot handle multiple orders at once. Since it's an order at the counter set up, we ordered under two separate bills (2 families) and they prepared and served our food separately. Couldn't they have better observed that we were all together and would likely prefer to eat together, therefore time the food a little better? 2. Food was good, but not great. The "warm" panini sandwiches were still cold in the center. And the food took forever since they apparently can only make one sandwich at a time. Seating is relatively limited, especially when you've got some guy working at a table for 8 and it's just him. It's also a tight squeeze to/from the bathroom & soda machine, which of course was where we ended up having to sit with our party of 8. They have a unique offering of panini sandwiches and a couple salads. The kids food is not your standard fare; macaroni and cheese is "fancy", ie not from a box which as a parent I appreciate but unfortunately my kid did not. Great local spot in CB, but I've got a long list of places to try before I venture back here.
(3)Pat D.
We had a great lunch. Service was friendly but a little slow. The meal mozzarella and tomato panini hit the spot.
(4)Kacey B.
We were passing through Crested Butte for Ride the Rockies and we wanted something easy, different and reasonably filling and healthy for lunch. You could taste the difference of the fresh ingredients and most of their ingredients are local. Friendly service and delicious foods! I would definitely recommend it.
(5)Avi M.
Excellent vibe and food, and the staff seemed pleasant enough. Not super special or unique, but it had just the right feel. They actually ran out of chips and waffle fries, which was unfortunate, but we did see an employee run to a store and picked up some chips. They seemed very apologetic and offered a free salad to make up for it. All good in my opinion!
(5)Jack H.
Dropped in a couple of times for breakfast. If you want a muffin or a scone, you're out of luck. They do have croissants (plain, Florentine, ham-cheese, and chocolate), and they'll cook up a full breakfast for you, but they're not particularly quick about it. Nice people. It's dark in there, and they play jazz trumpet tunes at 8:00 a.m. I'll sum it up this way. There are maybe six or eight customers there at 8:30 a.m. Half a block away, they're lined up on the street trying to get into McGills. Maybe the Sunflower is better at lunch. Update: It turns out (per the guys at a bar last night) that the Sunflower is operated by different outfits for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Three single-meal restaurants share the space. So breakfast might be a bust (it pretty much is), but lunch could be entirely different. The place seems to light up at night for dinner, but we haven't tried it. This is a business model that could only make sense to young, inexperienced entrepreneurs in a ski town. Good luck. Another update: We dropped by for lunch. The place wasn't crowded, there was basically no line to order, but they cautioned us that it would be twenty minutes before our sandwiches appeared. We went elsewhere.

After my recent visit to Crested Butte where every other meal and my Inn stay were exceptionally good, I would be in bad conscience not to advise visitors of the sorry experience I had dining here. The place is attempting to offer nouvelle American cuisine using locally-grown and sourced food. It is failing in its ambitious efforts in more ways than one. To wit, first the food: the beet salad yielded a strange dissonance in taste with too salty fried kale and not sweet enough beets. The plate seemed hastily and roughly put together. On to the beef tagliatelli where I had to spit some of my beef out it was so rubbery and not tender. My friend ordered the smoked Colorado trout. She is not a fussy eater but she said that her two tablespoon-ration served on a lettuce leaf tasted 'odd'. A person of few words normally, I know it isn't good when her words tend to the monosyllabic. The service deserves a mention. Sadly, for it's notable skill in setting up unrealistic expectations in customers who must then be let down. For example, we were told at six o'clock in the evening that our table would be ready at eight o'clock. When we arrived at eight o'clock we were told to wait a couple of minutes which actually turned out to be a full 30 minutes. We placed our order while waiting, but it took another half hour (by this time 9:00 p.m.) when our food arrived. During this process the waiter was rushing around the room, yelling from front to back, and displaying other hallmarks of a poorly-run front room with poorly trained staff (for which I am not willing to fork out $$$ prices). He came to our table to tell us that we were to expect our food usually two and a half hours after we sat down, and that we were being handled as exceptions to rush our food. It didn't seem normal to me that a waiter should hold us hostage to his whims and it definitely didn't seem normal that a waiter should tell anyone it takes two and a half hours for food to arrive at the table. Skip this place. There are a dozen other American restaurants you MUST try in town.
(1)Camilo F.
Natalie and Chris are charming, funny, and made us feel extremely welcome during the dinner service--it felt like you were having dinner at a friend's home. The ingredients are mostly (all?) locally sourced, the preparation is creative, and the flavors spot on. The cozy atmosphere adds to the experience. The only downside was that the table of women with faces nipped and tucked made us feel as if we were right back in Florida!
(5)Meg M.
All 3 people in our party were happy with the selection here for a quick brunch... Friendly service and everything well portioned and tasted great!
(4)Rebekah G.
Ham and fig panini with truffle oil! Order it with the handmade chips. You wont be sorry! Locally sourced products you pay for but are well worth it. If you enjoy high quality, hand crafted food with a smile this is your place.
(5)Zoe L.
This review is for lunch. Pro: amazing, crispy waffle fries; locally sourced food Con: Pricey (over $10 for sandwiches); onions in the mac + cheese; small seating area can get crowded quickly Bottom line: great if you like fancy sandwiches, but I'd rather eat at First Ascent down the street
(3)Ashley W.
Visited this place while on Vacation. It's so cute and cozy! Their service was incredible; to the point where they had us wait for their machine to be calibrated for a perfect shot of espresso because they refused to serve their customers anything less than the best. That was a "wow" moment for me, and to top that with their incredible amazing food, I couldn't have asked for anything better! If you visit CB, definitely give this place a shot because you will not be disappointed!
(5)Barbara P.
Excellent dining experience! Our waiter Nick was great and very helpful making choices. We had a great Malbec wine first. Then We enjoyed 2 soups, 2 salads, 2 small plates & dessert. My husband and I shared all the courses. Both of the soups were excellent. The salad with figs and dressing with a little kick was very nice. My husband liked the meatballs, but the bolognese with pasta was the best! I'm so glad we didn't skip dessert...it was excellent...cherry tart with a little ice cream on top! Very nice restaurant with a new menu everyday and many ingredients from local farmers. Be sure to eat dinner here if you're in the Crested Butte area!

My first impression when walking inside: A small restaurant with a charming rustic atmosphere. Having driven in from Denver and munching on road trips snacks the whole way there my boyfriend and I were looking for some real food. After reading the yelp reviews we decided to try it out. When we stepped inside we were greeted by a host, Nick (I think), who ended up also being the server. He led us straight to a table and explained the restaurant concept and how the menu was laid out. Throughout the meal he checked in on us and really cared about what we thought of our dishes. It made the whole experience very enjoyable. We decided to start by sharing a tomato soup, their soup of the day, and a half salad. I would recommend if you are sharing the soup to do a full portion. The half portion was too small for two but we really enjoyed it. The menu for entrees is divided into two sections where you can order small plates and share or a larger portion for yourself. We decided to order for the sharing side. For our main dishes we enjoyed the oysters, the lamb and one other dish which is escaping my memory. They were all delicious. We ended our meal with the flan dessert. YUM! Definitely a good choice, and it came with biscotti which was great to have some crunch with the creaminess. A memorable meal and a great first impression of Crested Butte.

1. Super friendly employees 2. we didn't want the croissants to end - so good. So so good. 3. Breakfast burrito was fantastic. 4. Portions are right. I don't feel too full to ride the 401 now. 5. All around excellent!
(5)Katrina E.
The morning breakfast was great... But it was pulling teeth to get coffee that was ordered and seemed a little pricey. Again breakfast food was good. Evening meal was fantastic. I give that a five stars. Pricey but well worth it. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
(4)Leigh M.
Great breakfast but also the farm to table dinner is 5 star!
(5)David K.
Absolutely delicious sandwiches! Quality local ingredients and a very cool atmosphere. The sweet potato fries are great, just wish they gave you more, very stingy. Service was friendly but very slow. I would eat here again!
(4)Jay A.
Decent food. Raw potatoes in the breakfast burritos. Terrible (albeit nice) service.

(2)Douglas D.
Just awesome. Great food, reasonably priced good wine, high energy and happy atmosphere. Who needs verbs?
(5)Bo D.
(3)Terry O.
This place is incredible. They've finally opened for dinner and boy was it amazing. The staff was incredibly informative, fun and pleasant. The food was outstanding. Each dish had a lot of love put into it. We'll definitely come back.
(5)Prairie S.
(3)Morgan F.
(5)Ashley W.
(5)Elizabeth C.
(4)Tom W.
(3)Barrio L.
(5)Beans B.
(2)Scott A.
(5)
